Youth Support Group

Rainbow Youth Alliance (RYA) provides twice monthly, adult-facilitated, peer-to-peer support group meetings for high school youth ages 13-18. These meetings take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month from 3:45 PM – 6 PM. All youth are welcome. Support group meetings follow a relaxed format with the main focus on providing a safe place where you can be YOU! Sometimes there will be guided discussions around certain topics, other times there will be games and activities – no matter what we talk about or do during meetings, our hope is that you will connect with someone in the room.

We strive to start each group the same way. Trained adult facilitators help the group review group expectations at the beginning. Then, every person present gets the chance to introduce themselves, state their preferred gender pronoun, and share any thoughts, questions, or experiences with the group for discussion. All are encouraged to share as much or as little as they are comfortable – no one is forced to talk.
